All Western Quartz lamps are embossed with the following logo:
Please note that the logo clearly reads Western Quartz.com and has a border around the name. The counterfeit lamps typically do not use our url website address as their logo. Also, on the counterfeit lamps, Western Quartz is often misspelled.
All Western Quartz lamps have the logo fired in ink, not laser engraved. The majority of the counterfeit lamps are laser engraved.
All Western Quartz lamps have the printing on the right side of the lamp. If you hold the lamp so you can read the logo, the printing will be on the right side. The counterfeit lamps are usually marked on the left side.
All Western Quartz lamps have a five character serial number. The counterfeit lamps typically have a six character serial number.
Western Quartz lamps do not have an evacuation tip-off in the center of the lamp. Most counterfeit lamps have this tip-off in the middle of the lamp body. .
The ceramic ends on Western Quartz lamps are porous and unglazed. The color of our ceramic ends are also beige not white. Most ceramic ends on the counterfeit lamps are white in color and are shinny because they are glazed.
The wires on all Western Quartz lamps are insulated with white silicon tubing. Most of the counterfeit lamps use teflon coated wire.
