The TowerClean G2 cleaning system is designed for fast and efficient cleaning of blankets and guide rollers in coldset offset presses. By the click of a button, the automated cleaning between editions maximizes uptime and ensures consistent print quality throughout the print run(s).
The TowerClean G2 cleaning system is designed for easy installation into single, double and triple width presses. The system can be configured as follows:
Combined blanket and guide roller cleaning
Blanket cleaning only
Guide roller cleaning only
Single or Dual-sided Precision Spray
The TowerClean G2 offers efficient blanket cleaning due to its even spray distribution across the web and optional brushes to aid lint removal. Utilizing Baldwin’s precision spray technology, a dual-side option is available for those printers running coated stock paper.
How It Works:
The system sprays a micro-emulsion onto the web, which then transfers to the blankets. A combination of solvent and water in the micro-emulsion ensures the removal of ink and lint from the blankets, which are carried away by the web.
Exclusively provided by Baldwin, an optional function of the TowerClean G2 is the Guide Roller Cleaner. A low maintenance roller brake enables the roller to be locked, and it is then cleaned rapidly by the wiping action of the impregnated web moving over the surface. Programmed indexing of the rollers ensures efficient cleaning of the full circumference. Specifically developed for TowerClean G2, Baldwin offers its unique and FOGRA approved cleaning solvent TowerWash 2.
