When Sauleda, a worldwide distributor and manufacturer of high-quality awning fabrics and technical textiles, was to start up a new manufacturing line, the company was in need of the ultimate single-side finishing application technology. With optimal uniform coverage and low chemistry consumption, the Rotor Spray from Ahlbrandt became the perfect solution.
The specific finishing process at Sauleda utilizes a rare high-value chemistry for achieving top-quality of the fabric with water-repellent, grime growth preventive and pollution reversing characteristics. Based on this, choosing the right finishing technology was extremely important for keeping production costs down, applying only the necessary amount of chemistry with minimum chemistry waste, yet optimal coverage. Only to be applied on one side of the fabric, a Foulard solution was out of the question. The width requirement was no less than 3200 mm and production speed requirement was high.
